MCCH OFFERS FREE SCREENINGS AT THE PARKINSON'S DISEASE AWARENESS DAY ON APRIL 30

Murray-Calloway County Hospital is having an event for the public in recognition of Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month in April.

 

MCCH will be providing screenings specific to Parkinson’s Disease patients to identify treatment needs that will improve function and quality of life in the home and community. Join us for our FREE Health Screening Event and take advantage of the following free screenings: balance tests, adaptive equipment techniques, speech screenings and ask a dietitian.

The FREE screenings will take place Saturday, April 30, from 9-11 a.m. in the North Tower Lobby of Murray-Calloway County Hospital (across from Murray Middle School football field). Educational material and information include: tips for people with Parkinson’s and their care partners, Parkinson’s secrets, myths, and misconceptions, understanding pain in Parkinson’s, fatigue and sleep disorders, about LSVT, voice training and support groups.

In addition to FREE screenings and education there will be giveaways, healthy snacks and door prize drawings.
