Spring Creek Health Care skilled nursing facility will celebrate National Nursing Home Week May 8-14 by hosting a series of events designed to enrich the relationship and contacts between residents, family, staff and the community. Calloway County Judge Executive Larry Elkins and City of Murray Mayor Jack Rose signed a proclamation specifying that May 8-14 will be Nursing Home Week in the community.

The theme for 2016 is “Everyone is Family Here.” The celebration is an annual observance sponsored by the American Health Care Association and the Kentucky Health Care Association. Employees and residents will have various events during the week such as a watermelon social, pancake breakfast and picnic.

“Our staff wants to make this a special time for the residents; we will have indoor and outdoor activities to be enjoyed by all. We want everyone to enjoy the activities focused on the ‘Everyone Is Family Here’ theme,” said JoAnna Thomas, Activity Director.

Spring Creek Health Care is a 226-bed nursing facility located at 1401 South 16th Street, Murray. For more information on National Nursing Home Week activities or volunteering, contact JoAnna Thomas, Activity Director, at 270-752-2947.
