IT’S A GIRL: MURRAY-CALLOWAY COUNTY HOSPITAL WELCOMES FIRST BABY OF 2017
Corey and Ashlie Creekmur of Cadiz started off 2017 as the proud new parents of their 9 pound, 11 ounce, baby girl, Millie Rayne Creekmur, who was 22 inches long. The expected due date wasn’t until January 7 however, following mom’s checkup and the ultrasound of baby Millie, Ashlie was induced due to the expected weight of the baby.
The family’s New Year’s Eve plans were set and they arrived at the hospital around 2 pm New Year’s Eve to begin induction where shortly after around 3 pm mom Ashlie began having contractions. The Creekmur family welcomed baby girl Millie Rayne Creekmur arrived just 12 seconds after midnight with Dr. Thomas Green, OB/GYN delivering.
With this being her 3rd baby, she was a little nervous about the weight of the baby and was glad that she didn’t end up having a c-section.
“It was a really good experience! We were hoping for Christmas but she kept getting bigger and bigger. I never expected to have a first baby of the year,” said Ashlie.
Big brother Braxten, 6, said he really wanted a brother and mom says big sister Cortney, 7, has really helped a lot already. Both siblings were also born at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Her first born, Cortney, weighed 7 lbs 15 oz, her second Braxten weighed, 8 lbs 14 oz, and her third baby Millie, entered the world at 9 lbs, 11 ounces. The Creekmur family looks forward to starting 2017 with the new addition to their family.
