MURRAY-CALLOWAY COUNTY HOSPITAL HONORS VOLUNTEERS AT ANNUAL BANQUET

The many volunteers of Murray-Calloway County Hospital were recognized and thanked for their 5,684 hours of service to MCCH in 2016 during the annual MCCH Volunteer Banquet Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church.  

The theme of the banquet was Paris “Ohh la La…We Love our Volunteers.” After a welcome by John Wilson, Chief Operating Officer and invocation by Keith Travis, VP of Development, banquet attendees enjoyed a luncheon. John Wilson, Chief Operating Officer, and Steve Owens, chair of the MCCH Board of Trustees, then gave expressions of appreciation before awards were handed out by Hillary Sharp and Lauren Holloway, Human Resource representatives.


The MCCH Auxiliary was formally begun in August of 1981 to serve as a volunteer organization to support MCCH. Auxiliary members donated their time and money to the hospital and its mission of providing health care to the community. Since 1981, volunteers have donated more than 90,000 total hours to MCCH.

Hospice volunteers recognized included Martha Castle, Judy Eldredge, Cynthia Elliott, Annette Ellis, Stella Franklin, Loretta Jobs, Sharon Myatt, Mary Jane Roberson, Norma Stewart, Lloyd Weatherly, Jerry Williams, Pam Williams, and Donna Wood.

Three special awards were handed out: Most Lifetime Hours, Walter Bradtke, 2,852.50 hours and Most Hours for the Past Year, Janet Fitch, 634.50.


Volunteers were recognized for their total number of hours accumulated in their lifetime of service to MCCH (recognized by every 100 hours volunteered). Other volunteers include: 2,800 hours; Walter Bradtke, 2,700, Sue Webb, and Carol West, 2,600 hours; Jerry Hicks, 2,300; Betty Gallimore and Carolyn Paschall, 2,200; Jean Watkins and Kathy Mowery, 2,100; Marion Bradtke, 1,800; Barbara Williams, 1,700; Barbara Shade and Janet Fitch, 1,500; Janet Nichols, 1,400; Judy Eldredge, 700; Ruth Daughaday, 600; Donna Whitfield, 500, Jon Mercado, Michelle Spencer, and Tim Flatt, 400; Mary Jane Roberson, 300; Donna Alexander, Annie Litwiller, Ruth Coe, and Carol Frashekfski, 200; Sharon Myatt, Lloyd Weatherly, Sandra Hakos, Violet Unruh; 100; Martha Castle, Cynthia Elliott, Annette Ellis, Stella Franklin, Jerry Williams, Pam Williams, Dakota Burdine, Sylvia James, Walter, Dearie, Bridget Poor, Sindhu Weber, 0-99 hours.

Additional volunteer’s not recording hours were also recognized: Norma Stewart, Donna Woods, Joyce Herndon, Lequita McCoin, Gloria Shull, Stu Shull, Jim Stahler, Judy Stahler, Marie Taylo, Oneida White, and Davanna Woods.
