You may register for the Murray Half Marathon online.  Click the button below to get started.

Can I switch to a different race level from what I signed up for?
Participants may switch races and there is no charge to do so unless there is an applicable entry fee difference.  Participants wishing to switch races must notify the Murray Half Marathon office at 270.762.1800 to obtain a Switching Request form. This form must be completed and returned to the Endowment office before the switch will take effect.

What if I signed up and can't make it?
Sorry, but we do not issue refunds of any kind and race numbers / entries cannot be transferred to another year or person, no exceptions.  This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate or if the event is cancelled because of weather, natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstance.  Participants unable to participate may pick up their packet, tech shirt and goodie bag during Expo hours.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Anna Mae Owen Hospice Building Project.

Where and when can I pick up my packet?
At the Expo:  Friday, April 21 from 10:30 am - 5:00 pm at the Center for Health & Wellness, 716 Poplar Street, Murray, KY 42071.

April 22nd late packet pickup is only available for out of town guests. Please call 270.762.1800 or email sdavis@murrayhospital.org to schedule for your packet to be picked up on Saturday.

What is included in my race packet?

Your runner number bib and B-tag (barcode).
When you get your number bib, check to be sure that all the information on the label (name, address, age, gender) is correct.  If you are on a team, be sure that all members of your team have the same team name and code.  Please report any errors immediately to the Problem Desk at Packet Pickup.  Corrections cannot be made after the race has started.  Be sure to write down the name and phone number of your emergency contact as well as any allergies, medical history, concerns, etc. on the back of your bib.  This is VERY important in the event that you are inured or have other difficulties.  Do not give your number or chip to another runner or run with another bib number. Doing so may cause confusion in the event of an emergency.

Your runner packet, including instructions and other information.

Your tech shirt.  We encourage you to pick up your race packet early to avoid the last-minute rush and help assure that you get your desired shirt size.

Four safety pins.

Your Butterfly Wings.

Wha
t if I can't pick up my packet at the Runners Expo?

Participants unable to pick up their own race packet may have someone else pick up their packet for them.  Persons picking up packets will be required to show a photo ID to the volunteer handing out race packets.

What if my relay partner can't make it and I need a substitute?
If you need to substitute a participant on your relay team, have the substitute complete the Switching Relay Participant Request form. Forms may be completed at packet pick-up at the Expo. There is no charge to switch relay participants.

Where do relay teams meet before the race?
Relay runners will meet in the parking lot at the Volunteer and Expo parking on the corner of 8th and Poplar.  Look for the "Relay Meeting Location" sign.  Someone from the race committee will meet with you at 6:50 am to go over last minute relay instruction.  Please make sure at least one person from your relay team is available to meet.

Where can I park?
Several parking locations will be available for runners.  A copy of the parking map is available here and will also be included in each participant's goodie bag. For those traveling from out of town or not familiar with the area, signs will be posted pointing to designated parking locations around the hospital. Please respect the needs of hospital patients and their families by only parking in designated areas.

How can I volunteer?
In order to host an event of this size, we need help from community members and visitors alike. Volunteers will be needed to hep at all phases of this event.  Prior experience is not required since all volunteers will be bar-coding bibs, putting out signs, setting up barricades and helping to control traffic. Please call or email Sean Stonecipher at 270.762.1831 or skstonecip@murrayhospital.org if you would like to help with this event.

How do I sign up as a Spirit Team?
There is nothing that warms a runner's heart more than the volunteers and family members on the course encouraging the runners.  Runners participate in events like this to celebrate all their hard training, and they appreciate your efforts to celebrate with them!

We know you want to be in your pajamas at 7:00 am when the runners take off and we don't mind! Come on out in your pajamas and cheer on your runner friends.  Your crazy outfit will only make them smile and they will know that you came out for them.  Bands, dance teams, cheer teams, clubs and church groups are welcome.  If you do not belong to any groups, just call and we will match you with a group.

All runners will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite Spirit Team.  The top Spirit Teams with the most votes will be awarded prize money for their favorite non-profit organization.  For team ideas and locations, please call or email Sean Stoneciper at 270.762.1831 or skstonecip@murrayhospital.org.

How can I be a great spectator?
Make noise to encourage the runners:  cheer, clap, play music or make your own music.  Identify with the runners as they are completing a very difficult task.  Praise the runners individually.  (Example:  "Go number one!  You're doing great!").  He or she will truly appreciate it.  Stay positive in your cheering and locate your cheering section on a hill or more challenging portion of the course.  Make distinctive signs because believe it or not, runners will remember you and it will encourage them to keep going.  Do something to make runners smile.  Laugh, sing, dance or do tricks such as juggling.  It may put the runners at ease for a few moments.  Have a party with friends and / or neighbors if the course travels past your area.   Click here for the Run-Time map.
