Dr. John Broadbent

Dr. John BroadbentMurray-Calloway County Hospital is pleased to welcome Doctor John Broadbent to the medical staff as a cardiologist.

Broadbent completed his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering (B.S.) and chemistry (B.A.) at the University of Kentucky, in 1986 and earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville College of Medicine in 1990. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in 1993 followed by a Cardiology Fellowship and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship. He was awarded as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Dr. Broadbent has contributed to six published articles relating to cardiology topics.

He was honored with being a member of Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honorary) and Omega Chi Epsilon (Chemical Engineering Honorary). Dr. Broadbent was also a part of the Credentials Committee at Western Baptist Hospital, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the House Staff Council at Henry Ford Hospital. He is in the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Dr. Broadbent is board certified in Interventional Cardiology (ten years), Cardiovascular Diseases (ten years), American Board of Internal Medicine (ten years), National Board of Medical Examiners and Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

Broadbent is a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He and his wife have three children. Dr. John Broadbent will work full-time out of his office at Murray Cardiology Associates beginning in January 2017.

Jennifer Little, MSN, APRN

Jennifer Little, MSN, APRNMurray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) is proud to welcome Jennifer Little, MSN, APRN, to Murray Cardiology to work alongside Dr. John Broadbent.

Jennifer has worked in various roles in her medical career, but she started as a Radiologic Technologist for over seven years after completing her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Indiana.  

Little completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (APRN) from Vanderbilt University in 2016.  She then went to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Four Rivers Internal Medicine in Paducah, Kentucky. She completed several internships including rotations at Murray Medical Associates and Murray Pediatrics.

She will be caring for all general cardiology patients to establish diagnosis of cardiovascular ailment and formulate a plan of treatment, as well as assess the patient’s response to therapy.
