Financial Benefits

Health Insurance
Medical insurance is available for full-time and part-time employees. Employees are eligible the first of the month following the completion of thirty days of employment. Single, single + one, and family coverage is available. Premiums can be payroll deducted as pre-tax dollars. Includes pharmacy. Flex credits (dollars) are paid to employees who do not elect health insurance and have coverage elsewhere.

Dental Insurance
Dental insurance is available for full-time and part-time employees. Employees are eligible the first of the month following the completion of thirty days of employment. Single and family coverage is available. Premiums can be payroll deducted as pre-tax dollars.

Vision Plan
Vision insurance is available for full-time and part-time employees. Employees are eligible the first of the month following the completion of thirty days of employment. Single, single + one, and family coverage is available. Premiums can be payroll deducted as pre-tax dollars.

Life Insurance
Life insurance valued at two times the employee's annual salary is provided for full-time employees at no cost. Full-time employees are eligible after the completion of thirty days of employment. Additional life insurance may be purchased for employee, spouse, and dependents at group rates with monthly premiums paid by payroll deduction.

Additional Voluntary Insurance
Short and Long Term Disability is available for full-time and part-time employees. You become eligible for insurance after the completion of your conditional period. Benefits up to 70% of employee's income available as a pre-tax deduction.

Medical & Dependent Spending Account
A Medical Spending Account is available for full-time and part-time employees. Employees are eligible after the completion of thirty days of employment. These are pre-tax dollars that are to be used for non-covered medical, dental, vision and hearing expenses for you and your family including your deductibles and co-payments, as well as dependent care.

Center for Health & Wellness
The Center for Health & Wellness is available to full-time and part-time employees beginning immediately. Full-time and part-time employees and their family members receive a discount for use of the Wellness Center and services after the employee completes their conditional period.

Retirement Plan
The retirement plan is available for full-time and part-time employees after one year of service. The hospital contributes 2% with vesting occurring after 5 years of full-time and part-time service. Employee contribution up to 6%. Hospital matches up to 3%. Part-time employees must work 1,040 hours to be eligible for MCCH matching.

Tax Shelter Annuity
The tax shelter annuity is available to all employees immediately after beginning work. These are tax deferred investments offered as a pre-tax payroll deduction.

Credit Union
A Christmas Club is offered to all employees immediately after beginning work. The Christmas Club is payroll deducted and administered by the Murray State University Credit Union.

Cafeteria Discount
The cafeteria discount is available to all employees immediately after beginning work. Employees receive a discount on meals purchased in the hospital cafeteria while on duty and with employee badge.

Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit of your regular checks can be arranged with the bank of your choice. It is available for all employees.
