The Kids Zone area is provided for our member’s
children, age’s 6 weeks to 8 years of age. If the child
is included in a family membership, there is no charge
for his/her stay up to 10 hours a month. If the
child is not included in a family membership, the
charge is $2.00 per child per hour. Kids Zone
will entertain your child while you exercise by
providing toys, books, videos, and coloring.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Monday - Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday – 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Kids Zone is staffed according to the needs
of the members and based upon state childcare ratios.
Also, state regulations require a two-hour limit per
visit to the Kids Zone. A late fee of 25 cents per
minute per child will apply for any child left beyond
the two-hour time limit.
Members must provide diapers, wipes and other
essential items. In an emergency a diaper will be
provided free for the first time then a $.50 charge
will be collected thereafter. If the child needs to be
fed a bottle during the time he/she is visiting it
should be pre-mixed and ready to eat.
Parents are urged to bring a snack for their child
to eat or drink (we will not provide snacks or drinks
for children). Everything must be labeled with
the child’s first and last name.
Members with children in the Kids Zone must
be on the premises at all times during the child’s stay
– NO EXCEPTIONS!
The member must be the legal guardian, parent, or
primary caregiver of the child in the Kids Zone.
In order to reduce the chances of exposing other
children to illnesses, no sick children will be
accepted. Children with the following symptoms
may not be brought into the Kids Zone: fever, diarrhea
or vomiting within the last 24 hours; abnormal fatigue
OR irritability; and runny nose. If your child
has a clear runny nose and is feeling good, you may
leave them with us. If your child appears to be
ill in any way after being left in the Kids Zone, the
staff will notify you.
If your child cries
uncontrollably and cannot be comforted, we will notify
you right away.
Parents will also be asked to
come to the Kids Zone if their child’s behavior
disrupts others (we will not allow hitting, biting, or
spitting). “Time out” will be used as a means of
discipline until the parent arrives.
We reserve the
right to refuse admittance to children who do not obey
the rules or may endanger the safety of the other
children in the Kids Zone.
The parent who signs the child in must sign the
child out unless prior notice has been given to the
Kids Zone Staff.
An information card on your child will be filled out
prior to his/her visit to the Kids Zone. Please
advise the staff if your child has any special needs.
The charge for children who come as guests of a
member will be $4.00/hour per child for a maximum of
two (2) hours per visit.
The Kids Zone will be closed on the
following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
The Center for Health and Wellness reserves the
right to adjust these policies without notice.
