Kid Zone at MCCHThe Kids Zone area is provided for our member’s children, age’s 6 weeks to 9 years of age. Children that are included on the family membership receive Kid Zone services free of charge. If the child is not included on the family membership, the charge is $2.50 per child per hour. Kids Zone will entertain your child while you exercise by providing toys, books, and coloring.

Kids Zone is staffed according to the needs of the members and based upon state childcare ratios. Also, state regulations require a two-hour limit per visit to the Kids Zone. A late fee of 25 cents per minute per child will apply for any child left beyond the two-hour time limit.

Members must provide diapers, wipes and other essential items.  In an emergency a diaper will be provided free for the first time then a $.50 charge will be collected thereafter. If the child needs to be fed a bottle during the time he/she is visiting it should be pre-mixed and ready to eat.

Parents are urged to bring a snack for their child to eat or drink (we will not provide snacks or drinks for children).  Everything must be labeled with the child’s first and last name.

Members with children in the Kids Zone must be on the premises at all times during the child’s stay – NO EXCEPTIONS!

The member must be the legal guardian, parent, or primary caregiver of the child in the Kids Zone.

In order to reduce the chances of exposing other children to illnesses, no sick children will be accepted.  Children with the following symptoms may not be brought into the Kids Zone: fever, diarrhea or vomiting within the last 24 hours; abnormal fatigue OR irritability; and runny nose.  If your child has a clear runny nose and is feeling good, you may leave them with us.  If your child appears to be ill in any way after being left in the Kids Zone, the staff will notify you.

If your child cries uncontrollably and cannot be comforted, we will notify you right away.

Parents will also be asked to come to the Kids Zone if their child’s behavior disrupts others (we will not allow hitting, biting, or spitting). “Time out” will be used as a means of discipline until the parent arrives.

We reserve the right to refuse admittance to children who do not obey the rules or may endanger the safety of the other children in the Kids Zone.

The parent who signs the child in must sign the child out unless prior notice has been given to the Kids Zone Staff.

An information card on your child will be filled out prior to his/her visit to the Kids Zone.  Please advise the staff if your child has any special needs.

The charge for children who come as guests of a member will be $4.50/hour per child for a maximum of two (2) hours per visit.

The Kid Zone hours may vary on the following holidays:  New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
