MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital is pleased to welcome Laura Zigler, DO, a board-certified general surgeon, to West Kentucky Surgical, where she will provide comprehensive surgical care to patients throughout the region.

 

Dr. Zigler earned her Bachelor of Science from Saint Catherine University and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. She completed her general surgery residency at Western Michigan University.

 

With five years of experience practicing general surgery in Kentucky and Illinois, Dr. Zigler brings extensive experience in a broad range of elective and acute care procedures. Her clinical interests include robotic and minimally-invasive surgery, breast surgery, endoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and a variety of abdominal procedures, including colon cancer surgery, gallbladder surgery, and hernia repair.

 

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Zigler enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and son. Much of their family time is spent attending children’s activities and caring for their rescue pets.
