The Wellness Center has a 5 lane 25-yard lap pool as well as a warm-water therapy pool. We offer swimming opportunities for all skill levels and all ages. From water aerobics classes to lap swimming to swim lessons – find the right program for you and your family!

**Murray Youth Swim Team (MYST) practice is held Monday – Friday from 3:30 p. m. to 5:45 p. m. The pool is closed during club practice.

A high-energy aerobics class centered on cardiovascular water exercise. Resistance training exercises for the upper body, lower body and core will be incorporated in the shallow water and deep water to build muscle strength and endurance.
Low impact, cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training in the comfort of water. Aqua Fit provides an excellent workout to individuals of all abilities and ages. Aqua Fit exercises are designed to relieve stress on the joints while increasing flexibility, muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Competitive Youth Swim Team
The Murray Youth Swim Team (MYST) offers a year round competitive swim team at the Wellness Center with high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. For more information, contact Head Coach John Wand at 270.978.2545.
Individual Swim Instruction
Experience one-on-one swim instruction with coach Janna Tobergte.
Janna Tobergte is certified by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) and is a starfish swim instructor with nine years of teaching experience. She provides different levels of swimming instruction from non-swimmers and beginners, to intermediate and advanced swimmers of all ages. Her classes include building critical water safety skills, arm movements, kicking, floating, breathing, stroke technique and other swimming skills.
Purchase 5, 10, or 15 Aquatic Personal Training sessions and get incremental discounts. Call 270-762-1348 for prices and reservations.
Available for members and guests during regular business hours. Lockers may be checked out on a daily basis.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program*
This class is taught by instructors certified by the American Arthritis Foundation. The class incorporates the buoyancy of water and the soothing warmth of a heated pool to make a safe, ideal environment for relieving arthritis pain and stiffness. Gentle movements increase joint flexibility and range of motion, while new exercise variations help build stronger muscles and overall stamina. The ability to swim is not required for classes in shallow water.
Classes meet twice a week for 6 weeks. Call for prices and class schedule.

The indoor, climate-controlled pool is available for members and non-members for private parties. Groups or individuals may rent the pool during non-business hours for a two-hour minimum. Call 270-762-1348 for prices and reservations.
POOL SAFETY RULES
– Rubber-soled shoes are required while on the pool deck and in the “wet” areas of the locker rooms.
– No children under 17 years without direct adult supervision
– No food, drink, gum or tobacco is permitted in the pool area
– No glass, soap or other foreign materials in the pool area
– No running or horseplay
– No diving
– No person may enter the pool area alone or swim alone
– No persons with any contagious disease, open sores/wounds; no person under the influence of alcohol or other drugs
– Do not prop the pool doors open at any time
*Lifeguards are not on duty during regular business hours
The water temperature is maintained at a comfortable 84 degrees.
