MCCH’s Radiology Department Receives Mammography Accreditation

MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital’s (MCCH’s) Radiology Department has been accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for Mammography, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality imaging, safety, and excellence in patient care. Having an ACR Accreditation signifies that a medical imaging facility meets national standards for quality and safety through a rigorous peer-review process by expert radiologists and physicists, ensuring high standards in personnel, equipment, image quality, and patient safety, acting as the “gold standard” for patient trust.

About the American College of Radiology:
The American College of Radiology (ACR) is a major professional organization for radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nuclear medicine physicians, focused on advancing radiology through advocacy, education, quality standards, and research to improve patient care. It sets benchmarks via accreditation (like for mammography), develops clinical guidelines, publishes journals, and supports its members from trainees to experts in delivering safe, effective, and accessible imaging and radiation oncology services.
