Understanding these Charges
The hospital’s charge for services are approximate charges only. These charges do not include charges associated with physician services for which you will be billed separately. These charges do not include the services or fees associated with providers that may be out-of-network with your insurance company, even though the hospital (or other entity) is in-network. These charges DO NOT include contracted discounts between the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and third-party payers, such as Medicare, Medicaid or insurance providers. The final amount of the hospital’s charge may be different from what is shown in the list if additional services are ordered or if services are performed due to complications that may arise during the course of treatment. The final amount of the hospital’s charges will also be different than those shown in the list if the patient is eligible for prompt pay discounts, or has met their annual out of pocket maximums or deductibles as required by their respective insurance carrier. Therefore, the total amount for which you will be responsible may be higher or lower than that stated in the list.
