MURRAY, KY – The Men in Pink of Calloway County recently held their recognition event and the group was celebrated for raising $101,475.

This is the third year the Men in Pink campaign has raised funds for the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Regional Cancer Center. The fundraising event takes place in the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This endeavor has now raised more than $300,000 for the Cancer Center. Men in Pink participants are leaders in the community that have been passionate about bringing awareness and raising funds for all of our cancer patients.

This year 11 men and four fraternities at Murray State University wore pink and collected donations.

We would like to thank the 2023 Men in Pink of Calloway County who went above and beyond to raise funds to support our cancer patients and families. Listed are the MIP in order of funds raised.

“Competing in the Men in Pink campaign was as rewarding to me as it was to be a part of the construction of the Cancer Center. The campaign gave me a way to give back to our community and honor my mom, Virginia Schwettman, who is currently battling lung cancer,” said Craig Schwettman, Pinnacle, Inc.
