The Center for Health & Wellness recently hosted a Zumbathon coordinated by Sarah Bublavy, Fitness Supervisor and Ashley Spradling, Zumba Instructor. The event was held to raise awareness about National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to raise funds for the new Regional Cancer Center at MCCH through the Foundation’s Enduring Hope Campaign. Eight Zumba instructors taught the event and there were over 30 participants. Everyone dressed in “PINK” and danced to have a little fitness fun while also raising $505.00 for a great cause.

MCCH opened its new cancer center in June. The center brings innovations to the fight against cancer close to home. Located within the North Tower of MCCH on 8th Street, the new center provides patients with convenient access to excellent cancer care. Thousands of patients will be cared for annually by a multidisciplinary team of specialists and sub-specialists to meet the challenges presented by many types of cancer.
