The Hazel Woman’s Club donated $1,000 to the Foundation at Murray-Calloway County Hospital to support the Regional Cancer Center. Elaine Paschall who serves as President, and has been a member of the club since 1972, presented the donation. The club began in 1965 and currently has 17 members who help coordinate a car show on Hazel Day each year. The group of women voted to support the Regional Cancer Center this year with the funds that were raised.

“We knew it was a wonderful thing and glad we were able to do it,” said Elaine Paschall, Hazel Woman’s Club.

The new cancer center brings a new linear accelerator to fight 98% of cancers close to home. Located within the North Tower of MCCH off 8th Street, the new center provides patients with convenient access to excellent cancer care. Thousands of patients will be cared for annually by a multidisciplinary team of specialists and sub-specialists to meet the challenges presented by more than 20 different types of cancer.
