MURRAY, KY – To meet the growing demand for advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions, Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) has acquired four new ACUSON Origin ultrasound systems from Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. These new systems incorporate AI-supported imaging tools that help our physicians and clinical teams deliver more precise, consistent, and efficient diagnoses and therapies than ever before.
The technology of the new systems supports the full continuum of cardiovascular care, including cardiac and vascular ultrasound as well as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
The upgraded technology offers clearer imaging, improved diagnostic capabilities, and enhanced efficiency for patients undergoing cardiac evaluations. Echocardiograms are a vital, non-invasive tool used to assess heart function, helping physicians diagnose and monitor a variety of cardiac conditions.
“The new, upgraded technology will strengthen cardiovascular care for the community as cardiovascular disease continues to rise nationwide,” said Jenna McAlpin, Cardiovascular Service Line and Pulmonary Director.
The new equipment will support physicians and clinical staff in delivering comprehensive heart care while improving the overall patient experience within the Cardiopulmonary Department.
MCCH continues to invest in innovative medical technology to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region and ensure patients have access to quality care without having to travel far from home.
