MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) is proud to announce that Heartflow technology has been integrated to further enhance our existing Coronary CT (CTA) program, expanding the advanced technology and diagnostic capabilities already available to our patients. Heartflow is a non-invasive, AI-enabled solution that converts standard coronary CT scans into a highly detailed, patient-specific 3D model of the coronary arteries.
This innovative platform provides physicians with deeper insights into coronary blood flow and the functional significance of arterial blockages, supporting more informed clinical decision-making while often minimizing the need for immediate invasive intervention.
With the addition of Heartflow, our program now offers:
- Personalized 3D coronary artery models
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR-CT) for functional blood flow assessment
- Advanced plaque analysis for improved disease evaluation and risk stratification
By incorporating Heartflow into its radiology department, MCCH enhances its diagnostic capabilities, allowing for more precise and earlier detection of coronary artery disease. This integration ensures that patients benefit from faster, more accurate evaluations, reducing unnecessary testing and improving overall outcomes.
In collaboration with the hospital’s interventional cardiology program, Heartflow provides cardiologists with critical insights that support more informed decision-making. This leads to a more personalized treatment plan, whether that involves medical management, lifestyle changes, or targeted interventional procedures.
“Our goal is to bring the most advanced tools and technologies to our community,” said Jenna, McAlpin, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. “The addition of Heartflow strengthens the connection between our radiology and cardiology teams, ultimately improving the care experience for our patients.”
