MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) proudly recognizes the retirement of Tom King, Respiratory Therapist, who is concluding an outstanding 20-year career of dedicated service to the hospital and the patients of Calloway County and the surrounding region.

 

After completing respiratory therapy school, King chose to begin his career at MCCH – a decision that would become a lifelong commitment. When reflecting on his career at MCCH, Tom shared, “Even when the world was uncertain and other hospitals were offering flashy bonuses, none of that was as important as the relationships I’ve built along the way. I chose to stay here at MCCH. This is my home, and this is where I decided to stay.”

 

Throughout his two decades at MCCH, King provided compassionate respiratory care to countless patients while also contributing to one of the hospital’s most significant milestones. He was a member of the original Cardiac Cath Lab team that helped establish interventional cardiology services at MCCH, playing an instrumental role in building a program that has expanded access to advanced heart care for the community.

 

King’s compassion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting mark on both the Respiratory Therapy Department and the Cardiac Cath Lab. His work has helped strengthen the exceptional care MCCH provides today and has positively impacted the lives of countless patients and families.
