MURRAY, KY – Through the generosity of donors, community organizations, and local partners, The Foundation at Murray-Calloway County Hospital continues to make a meaningful impact across the region by supporting patient care, employee assistance, community wellness initiatives, and healthcare programs.

Recent Foundation grants and donations have helped provide Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for hospital clinics, transport wheelchairs for patient care areas, comfort items and facility updates at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, and financial assistance through the MCCH Employee Assistance Program.

The Foundation also continues to support cancer patients through donations to the Hughes Bennett Shared Smiles Fund and handmade quilt donations from the Quilt Lovers Homemakers Club for patients at the MCCH Regional Cancer Center. Grants are made weekly to support the Cancer Patient Fund, which provides gas cards and nutritional supplements to cancer patients in need.

“These efforts reflect the compassion and generosity of our community,” said The Foundation’s Senior Philanthropy Officer Lisa Shoemaker. “Every gift helps enhance patient care, support healthcare workers, and improve lives throughout our region.”

In addition to these recent projects, The Foundation will host a one-mile community walk supporting mental wellness and local mental health services on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
